A group of 3 small, beautiful Western American landscapes by well known California Impressionist, Paul Weindorf. Each is signed on the front; two, lower left, the third, lower right. Two are also signed, and titled on the reverse and bear a label with Weindorf's biography. A further inscription suggests that the paintings date from 1952. All appear to be in excellent condition.
Born in Stuttgart-Canstatt, Germany, Weindorf studied at the University Tuebingen Germany under Professor Weidle. He settled in Los Angeles in 1913, traveled extensively and came to know Alaskan painter Sidney Laurence, whom he studied with for 8 years.
The paintings of Paul Weindorf have been widely exhibited in many Museums and Galleries and his works are held in many important collections of American and California art.
